In today's society with all the performance enhancing drugs available, it is nice to see the ncaa drug test college athletes. It is time that we get a grip on it and offer assistance, education, and the resources to help our youth of tomorrow.
It's sad to see so many professional athletes taking drugs to help their performance for only a short period of time in their career, with such long-term consequences in their lives.
As a former major league ballplayer, it is extremely sad. The game of baseball and other sports has tarnished and irreversible damage to the athletes themselves and to their families.
With the ncaa drug testing is nice to see that we're trying to look out for our children, while they are still young and hopefully stop them try to imitate what others have done before them. What our children don't realize is that the performance enhancing drugs and all kinds of drugs for which, in the long term damage to the body. There may be a short term gain that about a feeling of super human strength, but the long-term effects can bring about the devastating results.
With the ncaa drug testing, hopefully we can prevent such tragic events in our college athletes. I am very agree with what the ncaa is doing in this regard and it can only help with education and positive reinforcement of hard work, determination, and do the right thing.
It's sad that major league baseball took so long to force of steroid and performance enhancing drug use by means of a congressional hearing, but something had to be done and is still being done. It would be nice to see a two-year ban for first offenders and a ban on the lifetime of any other offences.
NCAA drug testing will help with college athletes in all areas. Not only preventing drug use, but training them through positive reinforcement and teaching them about hard work and dedication the old fashion way and on what is morally and ethically right. Asked to educate them so they don't make the mistakes that my generation has created.
