Hockey History: an ancient Sport who triumphed through years of fine tuning

Hockey history dates back to the time of the first civilizations. Studies have found the origins of this sport date from as far back as four thousand years. This common sport called "ball and stick" played in the ancient civilizations of Rome, Egypt and Scotland under various names. The General game play was similar between each civilization.
